• Draft Environmental Justice Plan In 2007, Gov. Granholm issued Directive No. 2007-23, charging the DEQ with developing and implementing a state environmental justice plan to promote environmental justice in Michigan. The Michigan Department of Civil Rights is a proud partner in this effort to include environmental justice principles as a guide in future state policy actions.
